Koh Samui, Thailand daily weather update; 25th April, 2011

Today's weather;

Samui is enjoying another blue sky and getting ready for a hot day. Current temp at 7am is 28.3C
Yesterday saw a few drops of rain around Samui but nothing too serious and still very hot. Max temp reached in the lower thirties Celsius

Gili Air in Indonesia also has a nice blue sky and it looks like it's going to be warm here! Current temp here is in the high twenties Celsius.

First things first, a cold Bintang beer and a Gado Gado meal at Denpasar, Bali airport in-between flights

Yesterday was a long day, started out at 5 in the morning in Phuket and arrived around 4 in the afternoon on Gili Air. It's nice to be back in Indonesia again after 16 years!

Dear Camille,
I find your blog amazing, thank you.
I am arriving in Thailand on Friday April 29th. We were thinking of Ko Chang, but apparently the weather there is not as good as it is on Ko Samui. Is this true? How is the situation on Ko Samui at this point?
I already have a ticket to Ko Samui by airplane (one way), my friend needs to book one. Should we do this when we arrive in Bangkok?
I dont know what to believe concerning the weather. Is it better to go to the Ko Chang/Ko Kood area from April 29 th to May 12th or should we consider Ko Samui/Ko Phanang?
Please let us know.
If you have any suggestions regarding hotels on Ko Samui/Ko Phanang/Ko Tao, that would be great. We have a $15$20/$30 budget a day.
It would be so helpful!!
Thanks very much in advance!!

Hallo Maartje en Sarah,

Dit kunnen we verder wel in het Nederlands doen, ik ben zelf Nederlander!

Samui heeft normaal gesproken prachtig weer in April en ook begin Mei, (effe in het Engels nu); please have a look at my archives, half way down the page on my Samui info and weather blog, left hand side, they go back 4 years. Open a month that you’re interested in and check one of the of the last posts of each month, starting with ‘Goodbye to…………’ this post will tell you the weather conditions for that month.
You can also check each individual post for that month if you wish to.
