Today's weather;

It's very cloudy around Koh Samui this morning and it looks like there may be rain later today. Current temp at 6.30am is 26C

On Gili Air in Indonesia we also have some clouds in the sky, one of the few times since I arrived. Current temp at 7.30am local time is 24C

Yesterday was a warm day around the island with with some hard rain during the night. Max temp reached 31C

Koh Samui, Thailand daily weather update; 1st September, 2014

Today's weather;

It's very cloudy over Koh Samui this morning and the morning could bring some rain. Maybe a trace. Current temp at 6.30am is 26C

On Gili Air in Indonesia it's a full blue sky once more. Since I arrived just over 2 weeks ago, it has been this lovely with nice and cool mornings. Current temp at 7.30am local time is 21C

It's my last full day here and the last day of Specialty Instructor training. 12 dives I will have done with my students over the last 5 days, including today and two dives before the start of the recent PADI IE here.

Tomorrow it's off to Bali and the day after to Surabaya, after which I will arrive on Mount Bromo for the half marathon held on 7th September.

Yesterday saw a nice and warm around the island with an isolated shower possible at some parts of the island. Max temp reached 33C

Today's weather;

It's fairly cloudy but dry over Koh Samui this morning and I wouldn't be surprised if the sun breaks through shortly on this last August 2014 day. Current temp at 7am is 26.3C

On Gili Air in Indonesia, we continue with blue morning skies. Current temp at 8am local time is 25C. Probably clouds during the afternoon again. 

Just two more days here and I will be slowly making my way towards Mount Bromo for the half marathon there come 7th September.

Today's weather;

There is a nice, partly cloudy sky shaping up over Koh Samui this morning. Current temp at 7am is 24.2C

On Gili Air in Indonesia the nice morning continue and since I have arrived, it's blue sky galore during the mornings. Current temp at 8am local time is 24C. The afternoons bring in clouds most of the time though.

Yesterday the PADI IE was successfully by my candidates, happy faces were all around!

Yesterday saw a nice day around Samui although there was a bit rain. Max temp reached 31.2C

The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) has yesterday cautioned residents in 15 provinces in the East and South of Thailand to beware of heavy rains and strong gusts for the next couple of days, including Surat Thani province.

The forecast predicts stronger wind tomorrow and maybe some rain, running into Saturday morning. After that it should get sunnier again although an occasional shower may be likely.

As predicted, it's fairly cloudy this morning around Koh Samui and some rain may be expected. Current temp at 7am is 27C

On Gili Air in Indonesia it's once more a clear blue morning sky with a current temp at 8am local time of 21C. Nice and cool.

We're on the second and last day of the PADI IE here and so far all my candidates are very successful.

A lovely sky is shaping up this morning over Koh Samui, the sun is rising and there are a few clouds. Current temp at 6,30am is 26C

On Gili Air in Indonesia we are enjoying another clear blue sky this morning with a current temp at 7.30am local time of 23C.

Today is the last day of the current PADI IDC here on Gili Air, tomorrow will see the start of the two day PADI IE.

The sky over Koh Samui is looking great this morning, blue all the way with an occasional scattered cloud in it. Current temp at 6.30am is 27C

On Gili Air in Indonesia, where I am, it's also looking great, blue skies galore. However, during the afternoon and evening we have some very strong winds, exceeding 18 knots, according to some of the sail ship owners. Current temp at 7.30am local time is 24C

The fast boats between Bali and the Gili islands were running again yesterday.

Koh Samui is waking up under a very nice blue sky with just a few random scattered clouds in it. Current temp at 7am is 27.1C

Back here on Gili Air in Indonesia we have very similar conditions, blue and sunny skies but with a very strong wind. Current temp at 8am local is 22C

The wind is actually so strong that all fast boats between Bali and the Gili islands have been stopped since two days.

Here on Gili Air in Indonesia I'm getting ready to go to the main city of Mataram on Lombok in order to get a booster shot for rabies. A nice blue sky is shaping up here and current temp at 7am local time is still nice and cool with 21C

Koh Samui, Thailand daily weather update; 15th August, 2014

Today's weather;

Back home on Koh Samui it looks sunny and warm! Current temp at 4pm is 30.4C

Due to my hard drive having crashed, there will be hardly any pictures from Samui during my stay in Indonesia, where I arrived yesterday. All pictures have momentarily been lost.

Today I arrived back on Gili Air, a home away from home after all the visits here. It's sunny with just a few scattered clouds and a current temp at 5pm local time of 28C

Another late update today, due to travelling and getting used to new internet hook up tools. It's all working and tomorrow I will start another PADI IDC here.

Today's weather;

Koh Samui's sky has some scattered clouds and it looks like there's a chance of isolated thunderstorms this afternoon. Current temp at 7am is 27.7C

On Gili Air in Indonesia with our last morning for this trip, we enjoy and almost clear blue sky. Today we're off to Bali for one night. Current temp at 8am local time is 25C 

All the diving has been done, it was a fun and intense 4 days of diving around the Gili's, resulting in 36 Instructor Specialty certifications.

The last two days we stopped each day at Gili Meno. Although I've never been there myself, I heard many good stories about the island. Here's a shot of Gili Meno.
