Today's weather;

It's fairly cloudy around Koh Samui this morning although the sun is trying to break through. Current temp at 6.30am is 27C

On Gili Air in Indonesia we have the usual sunny, blue morning sky but the last couple of days, clouds are moving in during the afternoon and/or evening. Current temp at 7.30 local time is 24C

Yesterday saw a a warm day around Koh Samui with a max temp of 33C

The forecast is still looking good until Wednesday to Thursday night, when clouds move in and rain on Thursday is a distinct possibility.

Koh Samui, Thailand daily weather update; 18th August, 2014

Today's weather;

Koh Samui is waking up under a very nice blue sky with just a few random scattered clouds in it. Current temp at 7am is 27.1C

Back here on Gili Air in Indonesia we have very similar conditions, blue and sunny skies but with a very strong wind. Current temp at 8am local is 22C

The wind is actually so strong that all fast boats between Bali and the Gili islands have been stopped since two days.

Yesterday saw a nice, sunny day around Koh Samui with a max temp of 33C

Yesterday was 'Independence day' in Indonesia and I got this picture on Lombok

The forecast shows nice conditions for the next 7 days with plenty of sunshine and not much rain. If it all, it will be a tropical shower.

Today's weather;

Koh Samui is looking good, a few clouds in the sky with sun coming up, ready to burn it's way to a blue sky. Current temp at 7am is 26C

On Gili Air in Indonesia it's nice, a blue sky is shaping up and it feels warm already in the early morning. Current temp at 8am local time is 27C

The current PADI IDC is being completed by noon and an update can be expected later today.

Today's weather;

Koh Samui had some hard rain with thunder to go with it very early this morning. Right now it's dry again with a current temp at 7am of 24C

On Gili Air in Indonesia we have a lovely sunny start of the day with blue skies and a thin veil of clouds. Current temp at 8am local time is 27C

Yesterday saw a bit of rain during the early morning and a mostly cloudy sky for the remainder of the day around Samui. Max temp reached 30C

On Gili Air we mostly had sunshine all day long, with occasionally a group of big clouds drifting over.

The forecast predicts a rainy day today but it should clear up again come tomorrow with some more rain and clouds on Sunday and Monday.

Today's weather;

The sky over Koh Samui is partly clouded this morning but I still expect a sunny day ahead of you. Current temp at 7am is 27C

On Gili Air in Indonesia we're enjoying a very sunny and hot spell. This morning and all day yesterday saw blue skies and the current temp at 8am local time is 24C but it feels more like 30!

Yesterday saw a nice and warm day but during the night some thunder and lightning cruised over Samui and some very light rain came down. Max temp reached 32C

The forecast is still good with plenty of sunshine ahead of us but next week Wednesday into Thursday may see some stronger wind again. Don't be surprised if you encounter a short tropical shower somewhere along the lines.

Today's weather;

A really early morning sun on Koh Samui got quickly replaced by some light rain with the sun still peeking through the clouds. Current temp at 7am is 25C

Right now I'm waiting for my taxi in a sunny morning Senggigi on Lombok, Indonesia to take me to airport and a flight to Kula Lumpur's LCCT terminal where I will finally leave on a Samui bound flight tomorrow morning from the International terminal. 

It looks like really nice this morning but yesterday saw a few showers. Current temp at 8am local time is 27C

Yesterday saw a nice and sunny day around around Samui, with some thunder and lighting during the evening and possibly some rain during the night. Max temp reached 30.8C

The forecast is still looking good, although there may be overcast and an occasional tropical shower, which for this time of the year can be considered as a good forecast!

Koh Samui, Thailand daily weather update; 20th February, 2012

Today's weather;

At last, after more than 12 hours travelling, I finally arrived on Gili Air! It was a long day which started at 3.45am on Phuket at the Phuket Airport Hotel and at 6pm (5pm Thai time) local time I arrived on Gili Air in Indonesia at Oceans 5.

Koh Samui had a warm day today with sunshine all day long. Current temp at 16.00 or 4pm is 30.3C

Yesterday saw the opposite of the previous day, sunshine in the morning and rain during the afternoon around Koh Samui. Max temp reached 30C

I couldn't update my blog any earlier today, since this morning it was too early in Phuket and no internet at the airport and upon arrival at Bali airport, which is under construction for a few more years, I found out that at the domestic terminal all restaurant building were flattened, including Starbucks, so again, no internet. Just before I go to lunch on Gili Air and a well deserved nights rest, I'm writing this.

A long day but good to be back home away from home at Oceans 5! Tomorrow is a day for relaxing, with a dive or two and the day after, Wednesday I start and IDCS course and Thursday the IDC.

Koh Samui, Thailand daily weather update; 19th November, 2011

Today's weather;

Koh Samui is looking good this morning, enjoy it whilst it lasts because tomorrow the rainy season seems to be hitting the island. Current temp at 7am is 25.3C

Yesterday also saw a nice and sunny day around Samui. Max temp reached 31.3C

The Gili's are beaming in sunlight this morning and a nice little breeze goes along with it. Current temp is around 27C.

The PADI IDC is just moments away of kicking off!

Yesterday saw a nice day on Gili Air as well with a max temp pf around 32C

That new International airport on Lombok is located in the middle of nowhere and it adds a minimum of an hour additional travel time after touchdown to each tourist location on the island. So far, I wasn't impressed with it.

The flood situation in Bangkok is stable and the current momentum is on the Royal pardon that would include former PM Thaksin Shinawatra, who claims innocence about the whole pardon.

Koh Samui, Thailand daily weather update; 4th May, 2011

Today's weather;

A surprise update, I'm sitting inside the Starbucks at Denpasar, Bali airport, waiting for my flight to Phuket in another 4 hours, so perfect timing for an update.

Samui has a nice blue sky and it's looking once more like a hot day ahead. Current temp at 7am is 26.8C

Yesterday saw also a nice day on Samui, sunny and hot with a max temp of 31.4C

This morning at 5.30am I left Gili Air, with a 45 minute taxi ride ahead of me upon arriving on Lombok, to deliver me at Mataran airport on Lombok for a 30 minute flight to Denpasar airport on Bali. Here I'm currently waiting to catch my homebound flight! Around 8pm I should touch down at Samui airport! It's going to be a long day!

The IDC on Gili Air has been successfully completed and the candidates are waiting for a PADI IE to start 10th May. I'll be back on Gili Air in mid June for another IDC. Can't wait!
