3rd December, 2008

Today's weather;

It's cloudy but there are some faint blue patches in the sky as well. I'm ready to enjoy my day off during this current IDC! Temp at 7am is 25.5C.

Yesterday was once more dry although there were heavy clouds and it felt like the rain could start any moment, all day long. Max temp reached 28.8C.

In Bangkok the big news is that first the three coalition parties bite the dust and consequently PM Somchai has to step down and second the Suvarnabhumi siege ends although it won't be until 15th December at the earliest before the airport can welcome passengers again.

Questions arise as dissolutions put electoral system in a vacuum.

Let's hope that this ends the demonstrations for PAD, since it looks that for the time being they achieved their seemingly most important goal, the current government has been more or less dissolved and the PM, Somchai, has to step down. Although the airports opened up again today, I have my doubts about PAD, even if they returned the Govt House today.

Good morning,Camille
I think a beliefe of smiling-sky that occured 2 days ago maybe real. The best thing of this time is going on,Peacfulness is getting back to Thailand again.last night,I heard good news that yellow-shirts-protesters will cease their disorders, but not also red-shirts-protesters.They are still. In my opinions when one side gave up,other one will give up as well.Enjoy working today.
Thank you

Hi F1Rst,

It looks indeed that some good things are happening, the sun is even out today!

Let's everybody comes to his senses and we can pick up from where we left almost a week ago.

Hi Camille,

Thanks for that. Things are looking on the up..
Is there a Thai cooking course you can recommend on Samui and we are interested in a dive. I assume we can do that through you guys?

Hi Petrie,

There are various Thai cooking classes on Samui, but the one I really like is SITCA in Chaweng, they do a great job and my sister and some friends participated in it and really enjoyed it.

The diving can be sorted out with me, no problem at all!

Hope this helps.

Hi Frank,

Although December may seem some rain, changes are that you will get sunshine as well. It just won't rain as it does during November and the sun won't be out as much as it will be during April.
