It's a cloudy sky over Koh Samui this morning with plenty of clouds and during my early morning run there was plenty of rain for half an hour. Current temp at 7am is 27.2C
Please don't forget to have a look at the donation page for help to the local people on Malapascua island in the Philippines. I have many friends on this island and about 90% of all buildings on the island have been damaged or destroyed due to the impact of typhoon Haiyan / Yolanda. All help is welcome and needed.
The moon over Bang Po yesterday evening, during our dinner at Krua Bang Po
Yesterday saw a mixed bag day with some sunny moments and plenty of cloudy moments and a few rain drops. Max temp reached around 31C
The forecast predicts more wind and more rain with a serious monsoon type of weather towards the end of next week.

Hi, which site do you use for your weather forecasts? I am landing on the 30th November and don't want to read about serious monsoons. Thanks
Dion
Hi Dion,
Although I an understand that you would not like to hear about monsoons when you're on Samui, but a little bit of checking things out would've told you quickly that November through mid December is monsoon season on Koh Samui and the surrounding islands.
The forecast I use can be found on my my link page , at the bottom there's a link to Windguru, that may be helpful, I use that link all the time.
Thanks, I have travelled quite a few times during rainy seasons all over and Thailand and it is never too bad. I am just a bit cautious as last year in Phuket we had a week of non-stop rain. I don't want that again.
That website looks very good, most weather forecasts for Thailand always shows thunderstorms for every day of the year.
Cheers
Hi Dion,
Right now we have lovely weather on Samui, very much unlike how the monsoon should be. However, November can have days of rain on an end, I hope not for you, but please have a look at my archives, half way down the page on my Samui info and weather blog, right hand side, they go back a few years. Open a month that you’re interested in and check one of the last posts of each month, starting with ‘Goodbye to…………’ this post will tell you the weather conditions for that month.
You can also check each individual post for that month if you wish to.
