Koh Samui, Thailand daily weather update; 29th November, 2013

Today's weather;

The sun is coming out this morning on Koh Samui although there are also some clouds but I would expect rain later today. Current temp at 7am is 26C

In Khao Lak it's fairly cloudy but the sun tried to break out from behind the clouds. Current temp at 7am is 24C

Iguana

An iguana yesterday in a Khao Lak resort

Yesterday saw a mixed bag day around Koh Samui with some rain during the morning and during . the afternoon. Max temp reached 29C

In Khao Lak it was dry with occasionally some sun bursts.

The forecast predicts more rain today and tomorrow for Samui but Sunday the rain should stop although the strong(er) wind might continue into next week.

Hi Camille, I have enjoyed reading your blog! I am spending a month from 15 December island hoping, koh Toa, koh sumui, pangnan etc, I was hoping to see lengthy periods of sunshine and calm blue seas etc but looking at all the forecasts it would seem I am going to be very disappointed! Should I not get my hopes up? Starting to wish I was coming later in the year!! Thanks, Simon

Hi Simon,

From mid December the weather usually should clear up around the Gulf islands, but that doesn't necessarily mean you get sunshine all day long.

A good help might be to have a look at my archives, half way down the page on my Samui info and weather blog, right hand side, they go back a few years. Open a month that you’re interested in and check one of the last posts of each month, starting with ‘Goodbye to…………’ this post will tell you the weather conditions for that month.
You can also check each individual post for that month if you wish to.

My fiancée and i arrive on Friday 13th December and stay through to 28th. I would love to know your top five restaurant tips for something special, really wonderful food, atmosphere etc. having trouble finding any consistent reports.....also, where is the best dive school? We are getting married on Thursday 19th at Villa Kalyana, where many of our guests will be staying. Many others are in Centara Villas or elsewhere on the south or east of the island.

Thanks so much.

Hi Adam,

In my restaurant section of the blog there are plenty of locations mentioned in all kind of price ranges.

Orgasmic, Oceans 11, Zazen, Sabeinglae (for Thai food)are just a few of the top choices in my book.
