Today's weather;
It's very cloudy and it looks like it can start raining any moment. Current temp is 25.8C.
Yesterday saw merely overcast and a few times there was some rain or drizzle. Max temp reached 27C.
Happy New Year Camille, Gelukkig Nieuw Jaar and all that, or rather Bonne Annee from where I am right now. 27 deg C? Sounds pretty good to me now, the acclimatisation from Thailand to France this winter is taking rather longer than expected!
The pix that you uploaded look really nice though, of fresh snow and such. In the Netherlands it's -20C!!! That's really old fashioned freezing cold weather for those parts that hasn't been seen since a while.
That's exactly what they're doing! Just received some pix of my sisters son, skating on nature ice and there's even talk of an 'Elfsteden tocht', a race on nature ice, visiting 11 cities in northern Holland. A very rare event.
That would be great fun to watch - a lot more spectacular than the slightly boring ice rink races we've all got used to nowadays. I've seen old photos of such events that once took place pretty much every winter, I think. Times change...

Still don't mind at all being here!
So they'll be skating along the canals, like in the old days, without fear of dropping through the ice because of global warming!
