Koh Samui, Thailand daily weather update; 29th September, 2011

Today's weather;

There's cloud cover over Samui this morning but it's also bright outside. Current temp at 7am is 26.7C

Luckily our island hasn't been affected by rain, storms and flooding like other parts in Thailand, we most certainly had our share late March early April.

Lake road crossing in Chaweng April 2004, tomorrow the current view

Yesterday saw a nice day all around Samui, there was cloud cover but no rain. Max temp reached 31.7C

Hi Camille, I am thinkging of coming to the Island on Monday but after not
having a holiday for a year I really want to go somewhere I can get a tan -
seems like you have a lot of cloud cover - is it so bad you cannot
sunbathe? would really appreciate your thoughts before booking a flight
thank you.

Hi Julie,

The forecast for next week is not looking that great, there's a bit of rain predicted starting Monday with a bit and lost from Tuesday onwards. Sorry..........

Hello Camille- I found your email address when I Google’d Koh Samui weather. My wife and I are planning a 25th wedding anniversary celebration in Thailand and we are looking at several resorts one of which is Napasai in north Samui. We plan to be be there from Nov 25-29 and the travel book says that it’s still rainy season in Samui in November. We obviously don’t want to go someplace where the weather isn’t (almost) perfect. Can you offer any advice on the weather in Samui in late November and on this resort? We are also looking at resorts in Krabi and near Phuket.

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Regards,
Joe

Hi Joe,

Thanks for your enquiry. Unfortunately the weather during late November tends not to be very good on Koh Samui. Most likely you will have better weather confitiokns during that time frame at the Andaman side, Koh Lanta, Khao Lak, Krabi or Phuket.

Please have a look at my archives, half way down the page on my Samui info and weather blog, left hand side, they go back a few years. Open a month that you’re interested in and check one of the of the last posts of each month, starting with ‘Goodbye to…………’ this post will tell you the weather conditions for that month.
You can also check each individual post for that month if you wish to.

Hope this helps for now.
