Each day the sky over Koh Samui seems to open up more and this more we are enjoying another blue sky with a few clouds in it. There's currently no wind to speak of and the current temp at 7am is 27.3C

Yesterday saw a very warm day again, with the sun peeking out plenty of times. There was at times some very strong wind though and one of the speedboat companies had cancelled all trips for yesterday, a smart move in hindsight. Those boat captains know much more than any prediction site! Max temp reached 32.1C
The forecast still predicts strong wind tonight but slowly the wind starts to fade over the weekend and as of Monday I would expect a lot less wind and waves and even sunnier days again.

We had gale force winds all day in Bang Po, sunny but never felt wind like it, surprised there are any leaves on the trees! and again today it is very windy but beautiful blue skies.
That pretty much sums it up Lizzie, it's also getting warmer again!
Hi Camille we love your blog and have been keeping a close eye on it for the weather for our upcoming wedding on the 7th of July. Has it been raining much in the afternoon from 4pm and the evenings there?
No, not really a lot of rain during the afternoons at all, at least not where I was. That can change at various areas around the island though.
For such a tiny island the weather varies dramatically. It can be raining where we are up a mountain and 100 yards down the road it's bright sunshine. But at least it is always warm and the rain never lasts for very long, normally short, sharp very heavy rain then sunshine.

Yes, that can be very strange indeed, the extremely localized areas of where it rains on the island! An interesting phenomena!
