Koh Samui, Thailand daily weather update; 12th October, 2011

Today's weather;

Back home on Koh Samui! It's good to be back home as well! Yesterday we managed to reach the 6pm ferry in Donsak and could make it over to Samui rather than having to spend a night in Surat Thani.

The sky over our island looks great today, plenty of blue spots and sunshine, but also some fluffy white clouds. Current temp at 7am is 25.8C

Let it be clear that there is no flooding on Samui and all is good and well on our island and the two nearby islands of Koh Tao and Koh Phangan.

Regarding the floods in the rest of Thailand, it looks like Bangkok had a momentarily narrow escape but the threat isn't over just yet and the city is kept on edge. Other parts of the country are still badly affected, like in Nakhon Sawan.

Yesterday we drove from Bangkok to Koh Samui and we had some very strong and hard rains at moments but we weren't affected during our travels by any floods. Traffic was flowing at all times. Bangkok's max temp reached 33.5C yesterday with hardly any rain at all and Koh Samui had a lot of rain yesterday with a max temp of 32.1C
