Welcome to November 2010

Welcome to November 2010

The rainy season or monsoon is starting up it's engines. Last years November hardly saw any rain at all but a typical Samui November has plenty of rain and the signs are all gearing towards a very wet first November week. Big storms with heavy wind gusts and big waves are about to reach Samui's shore.

It looks like this year we need to batter down the hatches and just hope that we can quickly move into December and better weather patterns with more sunshine. Having said that, the rain brings much needed water which will fill up the wells, needed come April when it's hot and dry!
I just hope we don't get any flooding on our island as in the North and North East of Thailand like last month.

Hoi Camille, waarom zul jij het beter hebben als hier!
Wij hebben ook volop herfst.

Alleen de temperatuur he, daar zit iets verschil in.

Maar ik kijk voorruit, de tickets voor volgend jaar zijn weer besproken, kijk er weer naar uit!

Nog een fijne dag gewenst,

Groetjes Connie

Hi Camille,

Me and my girlfriend are planning on going to Samui from November 7th till
November 21st. I got a little worried from your weather report :-)

What is your advice? Travel on towards Phuket, Phi Phi and Krabi for better
weather?

Kind regards,
Michael

Hi Michael,

Thanks for your message and enquiry. Right now the forecast is that Samui's weather is going to be fine again as of the 8th November, no more rain and some sunshine instead.
To be on the safe side, Phuket, Phi Phi, Koh Lanta, Kao Lak and the Western side in general should have most likely the better weather conditions during the period you mention.

Hope this helps.

Hi Camille,

Thanks for your swift reply. Any tips on a cheap flight from Koh Samui to Krabi? :-)
Just in case...

Kind regards,
Michael

Hi Michael,

Flying directly from Samui is only possible with Bangkok Airways. Unfortunately that’s not necessarily cheap due to their monopoly.
