Koh Samui, Thailand daily weather update; 8th November, 2010

Today's weather;

Samui is relaxing now just to get ready for what seems to be another stormy three days, building up today, highlighting tomorrow and slowing down again during Wednesday. After that things should really ease up, although there may be some rain here and there since it still is the rainy after all. Current temp at 7am is around 25C

Koh Lanta is dry but cloudy and I'm not too sure if the sun will break through today, maybe for short moments. Current temp at 7am is around 25C

Yesterday saw hardly any rain at all on Samui, just a drizzle throughout the day with a max temp of around 28C and Koh Lanta had a few moments of sunshine during the afternoon and it was dry all day until about 7.30pm when a drizzle started here. Max temp reached just over 30C

Hi Chrispy or Xtine,

November usually holds some wet weather since it's the rainy season but not the unusual weather we recently had. This may actually be the best time of the year for surfing! Maybe check my archives which go back 3 years.

Diving I would advise to consider day to day and see how conditions are, please let me know and I'm more than happy to help you out with that bit.

Tomorrow should be rough again on Samui but after that there should be a short spell of better conditions and even some sunshine.

Hi Pinar,

Next week I do expect the weather to better, what happened last week is very unusual.

Just be aware that November is the rainy season so do expect some rain during the day or night time.

The snorkel trips will still run weather permitting! All other activities will also be open for business as usual, again weather permitting.

Night life, open as always!

We will arrive in Chaweng Beach Thursday to stay at the Centara Grand Hotel. Was there a lot of damage to Chaweng Baech shops and will most things be back to normal? We are Americans traveling from Saudi Arabia with a couple other families and hope our stay will be pleasant.

Thanks,
Brad

Hi Brad,

Chaweng had a lot to endure but things should be more or less back to normal. Tomorrow may be another rough day with some strong wind and rain, after that and as of Thursday, things should turn for the better, the way things look like right now!

Hi, we're suppose to be coming to Koh Samui in the next couple of days and
concerned about the weather. What can you advise. We are to stay at
Chaba Cabana Beach Resort. Got any travel advise for us?

Hi Caroline,

Right ow the forecast tells me that there's a nice patch of weather coming up as of this coming Thursday.

Expect some occasional rain but overall things should be nice with even some sunshine thrown in for a change.

Hi Caroline,

Tomorrow should be fine but the forecast for Saturday doesn't look good at all right now.

I hope to be back on Samui by tomorrow!

Hi Tomi,

The roads were all fine yesterday but there was some heavy rain last night, although I expect the majority of the roads still to be fine today. The forecast are actually looking good and the current rain is not as torrential as during early November.
