Today's weather;
Samui is sunny! Exactly like the predicts forecast, at last! Current temp at 7am is 23.7C
The same goes for Kao Lak this morning. although there are some clouds but it looks like a nice day is brewing up. Current temp is 23C
Today is Loy Kratong ลอยกระทง and it's time to get the Kratong's out! More on this in a post tomorrow or later today!
Usually I celebrate this with my family but this year I will have to float my own Kratong.
Rainbow over Kao Lak in just before the evening started yesterday
Yesterday saw a day long of rain and drizzle in Samui, not a lot of rain came down but it was all day long! Max temp reached 25.8C, a rather 'chilly' day.
Kao Lak continued it's own pattern; sun in the morning and during the afternoon we had a heavybut short shower. Max temp here reached 32.3C

Hi,
I am travelling to Samui on the 26th of November to the 2nd of December.
Wanted to know if there are heavy rains during that period, and if it
normally rains all day long, on for a few hours only? Nice and informative
website by the way, most weather forecasts say thundershowers, but no
mention for how long per day.

It's difficult to predict the kind of weather to expect in detail but generally speaking there will or may be rain but usually not all day long and not as torrential as in the beginning of the month.
