19th October, 2007

Today's weather;

It's dark and grey outside and it's raining right now, which has been going on, on and off all morning. Current temp is 24.1C at 7 am

Yesterday it was similar to previous days, sunshine and rain, this time around the sunshine was in the morning and the rain was in the afternoon, scattered around during various times.

Yesterday I posted an update on my current IDC, have a look at my dive blog.

Hi

Your weather blog is great. Very informative. My friends and i are going to Thailand Phuket and Ko Samui next weekend for 2 weeks approx. Will the weather pick up?? i.e. less rain and more sunshine and hot days??

Hi there,

Thanks for the thumbs up, it's always nice to see that people are reading this blog, let alone appreciate it!

To be honest, I doubt that the weather will pick up drastically on Samui, not for the coming week, maybe after that......

For Phuket, please click the link under 'Useful Samui & other links' the Phuket weather blog link, that's from Jamie on Phuket who gives also very useful information.

Hope you guys have a good trip, nevertheless!

Wow, just ran across this great blog from a search on weather on Google...my partner and I are coming to Ko Samui from 11/1 to 11/5 (Bangkok prior to this) and we're staying at the Eden Rock Villa in Chaweng.

Can you tell me what the weather's really like during early November?

I've read that it's usually warm, humid and it can rain for 30-60 minutes in the afternoons, but is otherwise sunny. Is that true?

Thanks...

Jake

Hi Jake,

Good to see you here!

In November it will be warm, around 30C in average and you will or may have sunshine but tradionally early November is during the rainy season.

Some years it's still great in that period with sunny days but looking at this years weather pattern, there may be a bit of rain during that period.
It varies from season to season.
