Koh Samui, Thailand daily weather update; 13th October, 2016

Today's weather;

It's cloudy on Koh Samui with juts a few blue spot in the sky and although it's currently dry in the morning, there could be showers later today and there's a fair bit of wind. Current temp at 7am is 28C

At Kata on Phuket we have currently very similar weather, big clouds with a few blue spots in it. Current temp at 7am here is 27.4C

The last two days here were mostly spent diving on a boat, with some nice dives, but in a few hours I will start driving back home to Koh Samui and am looking forward to see my family again.

Yesterday at Nathon, taken from the Win Hotel, cleaning of the drainage system, whereby the cleaning water and all debris was redirected into the ocean. Not a very ecological and environment friendly solution.

Yesterday saw a partially cloudy day with just a few times the sun shining through and it stayed dry. Max temp reached 32C

A view from the dive boat on Panwa on Phuket. This is the area where the Phuket Aquarium and the PMBC or Phuket Marine Biological Center is located. At the latter I paid a visit to discuss box jelly fish matters with Thailand's first box jelly fish researchers, for which a blog is about to follow soon.

The forecast has changed slightly, mostly towards the end of the upcoming ten day period. The wind and the clouds should ease up a little bit over the weekend until Tuesday and come Wednesday the wind should starts to pick up again and between Thursday and Saturday there could be storm like conditions, At the moment no serious rain is predicted for this coming ten day period, besides a few tropical showers.
