Koh Samui, Thailand daily weather update; 10th October, 2016

Today's weather;

It's very cloudy around Koh Samui this morning but dry and with a fair wind blowing. It should remain dry but cloudy for the rest of the day with a current temp at 7am of 28C

At Kata on Phuket, it's grey and very, very wet. It has been non stop raining since around 5am, at times the rain is very hard and there's a fairly strong wind as well. Current temp at 7am is 24.8C

Yesterday's PADI IE on Phuket went very well for my candidates and all passed the Exams with very good results. Tomorrow and Wednesday I will be teaching PADI Instructor specialties and this afternoon we will start with the theoretical part.

This morning I will visit Phuket Aquarium and should meet with staff from the PMBC, The Phuket Marine Biological Center and get informed on their work and research on box jelly fish. Something to look forward to.

A small shack in the mountains, off the beaten track in the hills on Koh Samui in the general Maenam area. These kind of shacks are used for people who live and/or work at the various plantations that you can find in the mountains at Koh Samui's inland.

Yesterday saw a cloudy and windy day around Koh Samui and at some parts there may have been some rain showers. Max temp reached 31C

Once more a picture of the Vegetarian festival here on Phuket, from yesterday evening, Surprisingly not from Phuket town though, where the biggest and craziest and maddest event was happening, the closing of this years Vegetarian festival, but a picture from the Chalong circle area instead. We were playing pool and having some drinks to celebrate the success of the PADI IE, when to my big surprise, around the same time that in Phuket Town all festivities should have been in full swing, a small procession was taking place and moving around the Chalong area, with lots of firecrackers.
This is probably the last update on the Vegetarian festival for this year, since it's now officially closed and over again, until next year. If on Phuket next year's 8 lunar month, make sure to check this festival out.

The forecast for the next ten days on Koh Samui hasn't changed that much. The hard should have last current appearance this Wednesday and should fade out after that day, It's most likely going to be cloudy all week long and wet on Wednesday and Thursday but around next weekend the sun might be out and about again.
