Hello Camille, I just discover your blog. Me and my family ( wife and 2 children 7 and 11 ) are ready to book for a stay in Samui end of october till second november. We have an offer for chaweng cove resortel and saw on your pages it’s a good choice.
We have a question about weather at this time. I checked on wunderground.com for historical weather and it seems to be no rule for this period. Can you say me if the kind of weather you usually have at this period is correct for a good stay. ( no all the day rain for exemple ) We were in Samui 15 years ago and had a good stay. I know it’s something difficult but it will help us.
Thanks for your interest and considering coming back to Koh Samui after 15 years. It will look very different now!
Chaweng Resotel is indeed a good choice but regarding the weather, it’s very difficult to predict, The closer you get to November, the more likely the rainy season starts. In ‘bad’ years it starts in October, in good years it starts late in November. When the rainy starts, it does unfortunately mean a couple of days rain in a row. Please check my archives, information for the last two years can be found there.
If or when you’re on Samui, please contact me regarding the dive course.
Hi been viewing your website - Me and my friends are heaidng over to Samui and PganNgan on 22nd oct - 8th november - I know its rainy season but can we expect some sun or constant rain ? Thanks
