Today's weather;
It feels slightly cooler than previous days, there's a light overcast and a nice breeze, which may be the cause of the nice cooler feel. Current temp at 7 am is 27.4C.
Yesterday must've been one of the hottest days so far this year, it was almost uncomfortable, walking around just made your sweat run freely. Max temp reached 34.7C.

Camille- thank you for the informative weather blog. when the forecast is for thunderstorms in Samui, does that mean tropical-style sun and then brief storms, or does it usually rain all day? Thanks, I am headed to Samui for the first time tomorrow.

This time of the year, it would mean tropical style rain or storms, they last for anywhere ranging from 10 to 30 or so minutes and than it's dry again and it is very likely that you will have (plenty) sunshine. Please have a look at my archives.
