Koh Samui, Thailand daily weather update; 2nd August, 2015

Today's weather;

Yes people, we have blue skies over Koh Samui this morning. There are still clouds but it's time to get the sun lotion out and brace for a warm day. Current temp at 8am is already 29.1C

Koh Samui, Thailand daily weather update; 2nd August, 2015

Deity at Big Buddha

Yesterday saw a mostly cloudy day with the sun coming out a couple of times as well. In the very early morning we had some drizzle but no more rain during the rest of the day. Max temp reached 31C

The forecast is unfortunately not looking too good, the wind will be back as of Tuesday, there will still be sunny days but next weekend may see very strong wind with plenty of rain.

Hi Camille,

I saw on your blog you can hook up some diving on Samui... Myself and my girlfriend are very keen, is there any diving we can do that doesn't require PADI open water certification? We're both strong swimmers in our mid 20's but have never SCUBA dived before.

Looking to come visit in late August.

Thanks in advance!

Cheers, Jared

Hi Jared,

Good to hear from you. There are two ways to get a dive experience without earning the full PADI open water certification. We will also be able to accommodate you towards the end of August.

The first option is the PADI Discover Scuba Diving option, during which you do one or two scuba dives. It’s a one day program and doesn’t lead to certification.

The other option is the PADI Scuba Diver course, a two day program that leads to certification but is not considered ‘entry level’ or a full open water certification. To keep it simple. It’s half of the open water diver course.

Please have a look at these two options and let me know what you like to do and we can take it from there.

Jared, hope this helps for now but please let me know if you have any further questions.
