The Samui Green Market

Yesterday was the first time I could actually make it in person to the Samui Green Market, the previous two times I was on the road!

Samui Green Market

At the entrance

Around 9.30 we hit the Phru Chaweng, the area in front of Chaweng lake. It was cozy and nice to see a few friends there as well for the relatively short time we were there! Khun Supinya, the right hand of the Mayor, Michael, GM of New Star Resort and Lorraine, who's involved in every charity event on Samui just to name a few.

The Samui Green Market is still a fairly small event but as already mentioned, cozy and there's plenty or rather almost only healthy and organic food and associated products on sale.

Samui Green Market gluten free bread

Gluten free brown rice bread, very tasty!

It's nice to see a seemingly very well balanced mix between Thai and Western stand owners and I'm very happy to see that so many Thai people actually do care about the environment and healthy food and product choices.

Island organics

We bought a few items and enjoyed snacking them whilst we did a tour around the island after our visit o the Green Market.

Various kind of foods were on display

Samui Green Market red bananas

Rec bananas and a very special pineapple

The Samui Green market will be held every month and only your attendance can make the market a success and will let it grow. Drop by next time it's organized and enjoy the warm and friendly atmosphere and the goods and products an sale.

Don't forget to use my Camille's Samui hotel recommendation blog and my Camille's Thailand hotel recommendation blog for all your hotel bookings on Koh Samui and around Thailand. By doing so, you will support my blog. Thanks folks!
