Today's weather;
It's grey and wet around Koh Samui and there's a drizlle coming down at the moment. It looks like it will stay this way all day long with possibly a lot stronger rain at times. Current temp at 6.30am is 25C
At Kata on Phuket we have a cloudy sky, light grey but heavy with rain although it's dry at the very moment, but I won't be surprised if it will rain later today. Current temp at 6.30am is 25.6C
The PADI IDC for October - November 2016 has been completed here on Phuket and today sees the start of the PADI IE, which will be completed by tomorrow, around noon time.

Yesterday saw plenty of rain around Koh Samui, with very hard rain during the morning and lighter rain during the afternoon. Max temp reached 28C
Fitness machines made from stainless steel near the roundabout in Karon on Phuket at Karon Park, with a very similar set just one kilometer down the Karon beach road. A great initiative by the Karon municipality which should be followed by more municipilaties around the country. During the mornings and evenings, the machines are being used by plenty of people.
The forecast for the next ten days around Koh Samui does predict an easing up on the rain as of tomorrow and easing up on the cloud cover as of Monday. From Monday onward it should be really pleasant conditions, with partially cloudy skies, which should allow for some sunshine and some occasional showers. Let's cross our fingers that this isn't going to change too much, although the island still can use some more rain to replenish the ground water levels.
