Koh Samui, Thailand daily weather update; 14th November, 2015

Today's weather;

Koh Samui has a nice sky opening up this morning, with plenty of blue spots but also with some clouds. It looks like it might stay dry today. Current temp at 7am is 27C

In Khao Lak, day two of the PADI IE is about to start, with the last segment of the exam, the open water dives. Yesterday all our candidates passed all segments! The weather looks fantastic, with some amazing blue skies. Let's hope it stays like this, since yesterday afternoon there were some showers. Current temp at 7am is 25C

Flash flood at the market in Chaweng, that is located between the Laemdin market and the ring road. They happen due to long and prolonged hard rain time, so the sewer system gets overwhelmed and can't deal with the amount of water anymore. These flash floods normally recede after a couple of hours.

Yesterday saw for most of the day cloudy skies over Koh Samui with some hard rain at times that caused flash floods around the island. There was occasionally a sunbeam or two, but not too much. Max temp reached 31C

Khao Lak, shortly before the mountain starts at the Southern side of the village

The forecast is looking nice, until Wednesday there should be hardly any rain, except possibly for Monday and plenty of sunshine, with some heavy rain predicted for Friday and lighter rain for Saturday and a sunny Sunday next weekend. Let's see if this prediction will hold out!
