Hi Camille,
I have been following your weather blog for some months now, as I am getting married in two weeks on Koh Samui.
I am a bit stressed as I notice most days have been cloudy and raining lately.
Can you tell me what the rain is normally like? Are they very brief showers or does the rain really set in in the evening?
We are having an outdoor wedding and have no cover, so wondering if it’s worth changing venues to make sure we will be ok.
Any advice or information you can provide would be truly apprecaited.
Thanking you in advance.
Regards,
Morgan

Hi Morgan,

Thanks for your enquiry and congratz to getting wed, especially on Samui!

July is a little bit of a rainy season but nothing really to get too worried about, it’s usually tropical showers, they may be intense but are typically very short and within an hour everything is dry again, please have a look at my archives, half way down the page on my Samui info and weather blog, left hand side, they go back a few years. Open a month that you’re interested in and check one of the of the last posts of each month, starting with ‘Goodbye to…………’ this post will tell you the weather conditions for that month.
You can also check each individual post for that month if you wish to.

Not sue if changing the venue is necessary but if you want to be safe, than that’s what you would have to do.

Hope this helps for now.
