A lot later than usual, due to problems with my server earlier today, but here we are, enjoying a nice morning actually. Samui is cloudy but the sun peeks out from behind the clouds occasionally and it's dry. Current temp at 10am is 28.1C
Yesterday saw a fairly nice and dry day except for a storm with lots of rain around 3pm. Max temp reached 28.7C

Hi, Camille, hope you are well!
Following your reviews and weather updates with interest - will be travelling to Samui on 1st November (first time to Far East) for our honeymoon and praying for good weather!
Would be really grateful if you could indicate whether we need suncream or umbrellas...I suspect both might be sensible!
Anyway - thanks very much in advance - and take care!
With all best wishes,
Hi Leigh,
Thanks for your enquiry and following my blog!
I would suggest to check my archives, they go back 3 years for Novembers. Usually it’s the rainy season come November but it’s difficult to predict when that exactly will be. Last year it was sunshine all the way through the rainy season and I wouldn’t expect that this year. Right now we just seem to have ended a rainy spell and better weather is on the horizon for the next 7 days but it’s difficult to look beyond that window.
Hope this helps for now and that you may have sunshine during your stay on Samui.
That's brilliant, Camille, cheers...I will check out the archive as you suggest.
Have a great weekend!
With all best wishes,
Leigh
Hi Leigh,
You’re welcome. Right now things look on the up again with much better forecasts, meaning no rain and good chances of some sunshine for the next 7 days.
Thanks again, Camille, perhaps you can give me a forecast update just before the end of month - we travel on 1st November?
Looking forward to some legendary Thai hospitality...would also be very useful to know where the best bars and restaurants are, we're staying at Sala Samui.
Sincere and many thanks once again - have a great weekend.
With all best wishes,
Leigh
