Welcome to the original Koh Samui info and weather blog with lots of information on things to do and see around tropical island destination Koh Samui in Thailand including weekly weather updates, brought to you by long term resident Camille Lemmens since February 2007.
Your post is very useful - thanx! Am planning to visit Koh Tao next week and was wondering if rain could spoil the snorkeling for us. Does it rain lightly or too hard? Would we still be able to snorkel? My ten year old will be doing this for the first time and I didn't want to spoil it.
yikes! So, I'm asking because I understand you're a seasoned diver (and I'm a total novice) - given such weather conditions -In your opinion, would Koh samet be a better option for snorkeling? thanks so very much!
Conditions during the week look a lot nicer for Koh Samet during next week although towards the end of next week it may get rougher around those shores, keep an eye out on the weather predictions.
I like to check Windguru, which you can find in my side bar on this blog.

The forecast for next week is not looking at all! I'm afraid that strong winds and lots of rain are predicted.
