21st February, 2010

Today's weather;

It's the same ol' same ol'; sunny, a few clouds and dry and hot. Current temp at 7am is 28C.

Yesterday was once more dry, warm and sunny. Whilst visiting the Thai Red Cross charity ride in Chaweng, I got sunburned rather quickly! Max temp reached 30C.

Last questions... We would love to get some silk things made is there anywhere you suggest that doesn't over charge the tourists and are good ???

I don't know sumai at all is there any local mining and anything worth looking out for? My Thai work collegue always talks about sapphires from Thailand being cheap and us English getting ripped off here!!!

Hi Ang,

There are a few places where you can get silk things made, I'm not an expert but I would recommend a place called Timmy's in Chaweng, as a matter of fact, not too far away from Dr. Jimmy's, just a few 100 meters up the road, northern direction, other side of the road opposite the Chaba Resort.

Loving the blog!!! Think I will meet up with dr jimmy as soon as I get there!!!

My Thai colleague suggested I should havd my teeth crowned instead!!

I take it that's something that I can have done there in the space of
9 days?? I'm such a planner but it's hard to be somewhere foreign !!!
