Koh Samui, Thailand daily weather update; 7th September, 2012

Today's weather;

There's lots of overcast around Koh Samui this morning but in contrast to yesterday, there are also plenty of blue spots and the sun is peaking through! Current temp at 7am is 26.8C

Wat Plai Laem as seen from one of the surrounding hills

Yesterday saw rain during the morning but a dry afternoon. Max temp reached a nice 28.3C

The forecast remains steady, occasionally some breeze with the option of a tropical shower.

Hi Camille,

Good job on developing such an informative blog! It's so good to have actual blogs on the weather and events.

I'm planning to go to Samui on the 16th Sept - 23rd Sept and was wondering how accurate the weather forecasts are, as i'll be hoping to get some sun. Is it raining mostly in the afternoon/evening? Does it usually rain the whole day during this period?

Hope I get your opinion.
Thanks.

Stephanie.

Hi Stephanie,

September can be a bit of a mixed bag, rain and sun can switch each other off easily.

For a better understanding of September weather, please have a look at my archives, half way down the page on my Samui info and weather blog, right hand side, they go back a few years. Open a month that you’re interested in and check one of the last posts of each month, starting with ‘Goodbye to…………’ this post will tell you the weather conditions for that month.
You can also check each individual post for that month if you wish to.

Hope this helps for now.
