The sky is blue this morning but clouds are on the look out and a light cloudy blur is partly obscuring the blue sky in places around our parts of Koh Samui. Current temp at 7am is 27C
Old style coconut farm/house in the greater Baan Namuang area, this is how o lot of people on the island used to make a living before tourism took over
Yesterday saw another sunny day around the island although the wind slowly starts to pick up and there was a sort drizzle during the early evening. Max temp reached 34.4C
The forecast is still predicting strong wind starting tomorrow now with a high over the weekend and plenty of rain. It still looks like a naughty weekend ahead of us but not as bad as originally was predicted.

Hello Camille
Great blog .
My friends and family are planning a trip to the beautiful Samaui around november beginning, what do you reckon the weather would be around then.
We could postpone it to the end of nov as well.
We prefer clear sky
Your reply would be really appreciated.
thanks
Early and later November are usually not very good times to visit Koh Samui if you're in search for blue skies. We're in the middle of the monsoon season and rain is very likely. The odd year you can be lucky and not encounter much rain at all but generally speaking, it will be wet.
To find out more about November weather patterns on Koh Samui, please have a look at my archives, half way down the page on my Samui info and weather blog, right hand side, they go back a few years. Open a month that you’re interested in and check one of the last posts of each month, starting with ‘Goodbye to…………’ this post will tell you the weather conditions for that month.
You can also check each individual post for that month if you wish to.
