Koh Samui, Thailand daily weather update; 6th July, 2011

Today's weather;

Samui's sky is very dark and grey this morning, as pictured below. It already rained briefly and I wouldn't be surprised if we see more rain today. Current temp at 7am is 26.7C

Cloudy skies over Plai Laem

Yesterday saw a nice and sunny day over Samui with a short tropical rain shower around 4pm but within an hour everything was dry again. Max temp reached 31.3C

Hi Antonio,

The weather during August should be excellent on Koh Samui, please have a look at my archives, half way down the page on my Samui info and weather blog, left hand side, they go back a few years. Open a month that you’re interested in and check one of the of the last posts of each month, starting with ‘Goodbye to…………’ this post will tell you the weather conditions for that month.
You can also check each individual post for that month if you wish to.

Regarding the hotel accommodation, I would recommend Choengmon Beach , a lovely and quiet bay, with plenty of restaurant around and not too far away from Chaweng where all the action and shops are.

Hope this helps for now.

Dear Antonio,

Please look at my blog for info on Koh Phangan and Koh Tao, although there’s not much info on best beaches but for hotels have a look at Thailand hotel recommendation blog

Sorry Camille Just one more. What info can you give me about a place called
the Sanctuary?
A Friend of mine told me very good things about this place but we was there
8 years ago.
Reading now some info it seems like a place for "new hippies" in a general
sense.
What will you say?
Are there any other options in the same beach?

Hi Antonio,

I'm afraid I don't have any information on the Sanctuary.
