Koh Samui, Thailand daily weather update; 8th December, 2010

Today's weather;

Samui is dry, for a change. It looks like the next couple of days are staying dry as well, which will be a relieve to all islanders and visitors! Current temp at 7am is 27C

On Koh Lanta the sun is ruling, a nice, mainly blue sky is welcoming us this morning with a current temp at 7am of 25C

Yesterday saw almost all day long and into the evening, rain on Samui! There were also a few short power cuts, but nothing major. During the last two days too much water came down and scenes like early November were common in parts around the island, specifically in Lamai. Samui made it also onto Thai news TV channels, for all the wrong rainy reasons! There were landslides yesterday, apparently around Lamai. Max temp reached 25.7C with another 130mm of rain!

Koh Lanta was fairly dry, besides a drizzle or two. Max temp reached 29.2C
The current IDC has been completed and today we're all off to Hin Daeng and Hin Muang, a dive site that regularly sees Manta Rays, so I'll keep my fingers crossed.
