30th October, 2008

Today's weather;

It's very cloudy this morning but dry and there was no rain last night, and I'm about to start another IDC, today, these are coming thick and fast now! Check out my dive blog for updates. Current temp at 7 am is 25.7C.

Yesterday turned out as a lovely day with partial blue skies and sunshine! Around 8 pm yesterday evening there was an half hour hose but other than that no rain! Max temp reached 31.6C.

In Bangkok it's relatively quiet, although six volunteer security guards were injured from a bomb thrown at People's Alliance for Democracy rally site at the Makawan Rangsan Bridge.

It's all about anti-corruption Article 100, stupid!; THERE is hardly any doubt that former premier Thaksin Shinawatra is an intelligent person. So, when he said in his note to "dear friends in the international media" on October 22 that he was "confused" by the Supreme Court's verdict a day earlier to jail him for two years, he was only being humble.

Will making merit save them?; As photographs of fugitive former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra and his family attending a Buddhist ceremony showed up in people's e-mails last week, many desperately wanted to know what they were up to, where and when.

Warring parties need to love, be understanding; A recent public opinion survey has discovered that more than 93 per cent of Thais want unity between feuding groups and individuals.
