Today's weather;
It' sunny on Koh Tao, a blue sky with some clouds in it. Current temp at 7 am is 27.3C, warm already! Funnily enough, that blue sky turned into a black cloud with rain, the moment I left the room and currently it's drizzling.
Yesterday was another nice day, with a max temp of 32C.
The English written newspaper the Nation had this article yesterday 10 provinces warned of big waves, storms before yearend which included Surat Thani province to which Koh Samui belongs.
Politically, a lot of attention of the demonstration attention and front news was taken away by a border dispute with Cambodia, but according to a former Thai PM Thaksin holds the key : Anand and before the riots started there supposedly was a chaotic meeting before the bloodshed with drunk ministers!
PM Somchai is now also possibly questioned for his past role for alleged dereliction of duty.

It's really difficult to predict the weather in November, but out of experience, it usually isn't the best batch of weather of the year. Last year it was really bad, see my archive, but the year before that we had hardly any rain at all!
The warning was a bit of a mystery to me, since it came kind of out of the blue!

I think the weather anywhere can be very difficult to predict nowadays but beings as Thailand is a tropical country we are expecting rain during our stay - I am praying for no floods though!! I will keep checking on your blog and keep my fingers crossed!!
