Today's weather;
It's looking very cloudy, but dry at the moment this morning with a current temp of 26.7C.
Yesterday morning saw a lot of rain until about noon, after that it stopped raining but didn't really clear up and the sun was scarce yesterday. Max temp reached only 27.8C.

Camille, congrats on your lovely blogspot! My boyfriend and I are coming to Samui on the 25th of July. We are spending 4 nights in Samui and 2 nights in neighbouring Koh Phangan. I would be most grateful if you could give me your opinion on what our expectations should be on the weather and swimming. As we are islanders ourselves (from sunny Cyprus!)It is crucial for us to have good water clarity for snorkeling and leisure swimming. We were advised to come to Samui as the weather is better this time of the year than in Phuket. However, after numerous hours of researching on the internet I have found myself thinking of making a mistake on choosing to come to Samui in July as many claim that there are rough seas, unclear waters (not enjoyable for snorkeling) and very low tides which make swimming impossible ;-((
For our 4 nights in Samui we are staying on Lamai beach but we plan to do all the excusrsions to the neighbouring islands of Samui.
Many many thanks in advance for your comments ;-)
Hi Nannette,
Thanks for your comment!
In my opinion you seem to have made the right decision, since by the end of July, Samui typically has great weather, just like in August and excellent water conditions, almost as good as it gets. Although there seem to be no guarantees anymore with the current world wide weather changes, out of experience, you should be fine.
Hope you enjoy your stay and find some nice spots on Samui whilst exploring it.
Camille!! Thanks for your comments!!! You made my day!! I am so relieved!!!
Hi Nanette,
Glad I could be of help, now let's hope the predictions work out!
