Koh Samui, Thailand daily weather update; 22nd June, 2015

Today's weather;

It's mostly cloudy this morning but the sun is trying hard to peek through and it looks like it will stay dry today around Koh Samui. Current temp at 7am is 27.2C

Koh Samui, Thailand daily weather update; 22nd June, 2015

Silver Beach near Lamai yesterday morning during low tide. This is where the open water dive for the PADI IE took place and where my 5 candidates successfully passed the PADI Instructors Exam

Yesterday was a nice day, it stayed dry and the sun popped through the cloud layers on a regular base. It was by no means a sunny day but if you just arrived from Europe, it was enough to get a sunburn. Max temp reached 31.6C

The forecast has eased up a little bit, the predicted storms seem to have lay their heads down but there's still a strong wind coming this way and especially Friday and Saturday may see some hard wind. The tropical showers are also still around and may occur at any time of the day.

Hi Camille,

My brother is due to come to Koh Samui on Tuesday but the weather predictions from the UK are rain and thunderstorms for a full week...are the predications the same out there?

Any idea if this rain has anything to do with Tropical Storm “KUJIRA”

Any advice welcomed!

Right now the predicted heavy wind for the next seven days just vanished overnight, by next Thursday, a new patch of wind and possibly some very strong wind seems to be brewing up, but that can all change again very quickly.
Stay tuned for updates.

The last couple of days saw despite an increase in wind, hardly any rain and still enough sunshine and warm temperatures to enjoy the beach and get sun burned if not careful.
