Koh Samui, Thailand daily weather update; 7th May, 2013

Today's weather;

On Koh Samui it's cloudy and although it looks like more rain, the clouds should move on later today.  Current temp at 7am is 26C

In the meantime, here in Indonesia, on Bali, I'm on my last couple of hours for this trip, at noon local time my flight to Bangkok is scheduled for departure. It's nice and sunny with a few clouds and current temp at 8am local time of 27C

Sanur beach, Bali, Indonesia, early morning

Yesterday saw a lot of rain around Koh Samui, almost all day long and a good 33mm of rain came down. Max temp reached 31.5C

The forecast is on the up again though and most of the clouds should evaporate today and make place for more sunny days again.

Hi Camille,

I LOVE your weather blog. I have been to Samui 5 times now and alwayds rely on your blog for updates.

I actually just came back and was there around Songrak, weather wasnt too crash hot for 5 days of our trip but the remainder was beautiful and sunny.

One questions, I have never been July/August and we are planning on our wedding for next year.

Which month would you recommend is better in terms of weather (sunny days)?

Hi,

Thanks for following my blog and the thumbs up!

Regarding July and August, August is probably the better month but also the busier month.

To get a better idea, you can compare both months over the last 6 years;
Please have a look at my archives, half way down the page on my Samui info and weather blog, right hand side, they go back a few years. Open a month that you’re interested in and check one of the last posts of each month, starting with ‘Goodbye to…………’ this post will tell you the weather conditions for that month.
You can also check each individual post for that month if you wish to.

Hope this helps and good luck with picking a good month.
