What are good snorkeling (not diving) sites in or around Koh Samui? We really love Pulau Perhentian, but not sure if Koh Samui will measure up. We're from Singapore and we'll be at Samui from Christmas onwards. Wondering if a trip to Koh Tao is worth it? A little worried about choppy waters as we are travelling with kids aged 7 and 10 who enjoy snorkeling. Your advice?

Hi Karen,

Samui's best snorkel site would be around Lamai, I like Silver beach.
Koh Nangyuan would be your best choice, near Koh Tao, daily boats leave from Samui, big comfortable air conditioned ferries. Keep an eye out for the weather, this time of the year usually does tend to have some chop!
