Hi Camille,
I'm planning on coming to Koh Tao and Koh Samui in late December for Christmas time- will the rains still be there?
During that period there still may be rain, but not to the extent that it will rain all day long. At the moment we have a two week stretch with hardly any rain at all. If there's going to be rain, it will be most likely a typical tropical rain situation, for about half an hour or maybe more and than dry and possibly sunny again.
Well we just returned from Koh Samui and Tao (sob). Thanks to your weather blog we didn't cancell our trip and it was fantatstic; Sunshine all day everyday.
I really want to say thanks again for taking the time out to keep us all informed. I had visited Samui before and really wanted my wife to experience the wonderful people and beautiful country of Thailand.
I made a small donation to your blog - wish I could give more.
hi camile ive been to thailand on sept/oct twice and i found it very humide, whats the humidity percentage normally around dec/jan in samui/phucket compared to sept /oct? thanks chris
Although I don't have any statistics (yet!, good point) I personally feel that the humidity is a lot less around dec/jan and it's a lot more agreeable weather wise, not very wet anymore but also not so very hot as in April for instance.
