8th July, 2007

Today's weather;

There's overcast today but not as thick s the previous days it seems and the sun is trying hard to peek through. It looks a lot more promising today and the current temp is 27C

Yesterday was heavy overcast all day long with strong winds and about 16.30 there was a small mini storm with even harder winds and hard rain, which lasted for about half an hour and the rain lasted for about an hour and a half. Max temp was 31C yesterday.

Here's a message for Jenny in Sydney;

I'm trying to send my reply to your email adress, but it's being rejected by my server. Maybe it will be sent later, but for the moment being I'll reply here;

Thanks for your interest and question.

To answer your question, in the mentioned time frame of July-August you'll probably be best off in the Gulf of Thailand; Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao, Pattaya, Koh Chang or Hua Hin amongst others.

Here in Koh Samui, August is normally the best month of the year we have. Flat oceans, great weather and lovely beaches. I can highly recommend Choengmon beach Koh Samui, in the north eastern part of the island. In my opinion it's the best beach on Samui and ideal if you travel with children. Hotels like The Imperial Boathouse http://www.imperialboathouse.com/ or the White House are good.
In Chaweng Central Beach resort or Centara Beach resort as it is known now, http://www.centralhotelsresorts.com/samui_hotels.asp is a very good choice and they have children activities.

Hope this helps.
