16th May 2007

Koh Tao's weather today;

It's some serious overcast this morning and only 25C.

Yesterday max temp was 32C and around 6 pm the daily downpour arrived. It was nice since it cooled Koh Tao down a bit. We arrived around 10 am and it was fairly hot and humid until the rain came.

The ride over on the Seatran was uneventful with a flat ocean.

See you tomorrow,
Camille

Good luck with your IE. Hope the students pass with flying colours and that they don't get marked down for a very tiny mistake in their knowledge development presentations!

Not that I'm still bitter about that or anything... ;)

Hi Dave,

Glad to see that you found some direction in your life ;-)

Good to see that you're enjoying teaching dive courses, reading your blog.

Anyone interested in an English Teacher's (dive) adventures in Japan, please go and have a look at Dave's blog http://soldave.thedeepstop.com/
He's a good writer and has some interesting, off the beaten track things to report about Japan.

Hi Trond,

Thanks for your interest in my blog.

You're right, there's more rain than usual on Koh Samui right now.
The weather predictions are predicting rain and thunder with varying degrees every day, ranging from 30% to 60%, up untill next Tuesday (22nd May).

In real life it doesn't look that bad however, sofar in general it's been really nice in the mornings, up till 2 pm or later, when rain and thunder hits.
However, this doesn't last too long, sometimes just half an hour, like a typical tropical shower but sometimes also a bit longer with in the worst case all afternoon rain. The last sample only happened once over the last week.

In my opinion, although we have more rain than usual this time of the year, you will have sunshine during your stay if the weather pattern keeps developing as it did last week.

I do hope you will enjoy your stay on Koh Samui and get a tan!

Greeting,
Camille

Hi Torsten,

My apologies for the late reply, I somehow managed to click the wrong button, and rather than publishing my response straight away, I put it in prereview status and closed my laptop since I had to leave.
