Today's weather;

It's blue around this morning around Koh Samui with a current temp of 25C at 7am.

Yesterday saw a blue sky all day long and it was warm, definitely in contrast to a 'cold' (19.5C) and crispy morning. Max temp reached 31C

The forecast looks splendid, sunny days are predicted for the next 7 days ahead ahead of us.

Today's weather;

It's nice and blue outside, the sky over Koh Samui. Current temp at 7am is 19.5C

It's good to be back home again for the next two weeks or so, before I take off once more for Gili Air in Indonesia.

Welcome to February 2014

February is usually a nice month with plenty of sunshine and besides in 2008, during the 7 recorded years of Samui weather on this blog, it was a nice month. The start most certainly looks very promising.

This month I should actually spend most of the month at home, before I take off once more for Gili Air in Indonesia.

Koh Samui, Thailand daily weather update; 2nd February, 2014

Today's weather;

It's partially cloudy over Koh Samui with the sun about to break through. Current temp at 7am is around 23C

In Sanur on Bali, Indonesia it's partially cloudy with the sun peeking out already and a current temp at 8am local time of 28C. 

All the PADI IE candidates are out on the beach for the last part of their exam, the open water dive whilst I will be boarding a plane Bangkok bound around noon. Hopefully I will be able to make it from Don Muang airport to Suvarnabhumi airport without problems.

It's cloudy on Koh Samui but the sun is about ready to break through. Current temp at 7am is 25.7C

In Sanur on Bali, Indonesia it's cloudy but dry. Current temp at 8am local time is 26C and we're ready for the second of the PADI IE here on Bali.

Goodbye to January 2014

The first month of 2014 is ready to be archived. Time flies indeed! It was a busy month for me with a not so great ending, during which I got sick for the first time in 11 years during a course. I had two PADI IDC programs scheduled this month, one on Koh Lanta in Thailand and one on Gili Air in Indonesia, which only saw me on Koh Samui for the first two days of the year and some 5 hours on the 16th January, in-between travel.

The weather on Koh Samui has not been the best, the beginning of the year saw a bit of wind and rain and it wasn't until recently when the weather turned for the better again with sunny days. January has been better in the past couple of years.

It's been hectic and now I find myself on Bali in Indonesia for a PADI IE and on the 2nd February I will head home, just hoping that I can make it back to Samui, despite the Chinese New year frenzy and the elections in Bangkok with all potential problems.

Once back on Samui, I can't wait to be reunited with my family for about two weeks and visit Kobori, a new Japanese restaurant in Maenam, that just opened a few days ago.

Today's weather;

It's sunny around Koh Samui this morning. Current temp at 7am is 26C

It's Chinese New Year today, one of the three New Year's we celebrate in Thailand.

In Sanur, Bali in Indonesia it was cloudy and there was some rain early this morning but now the sun is breaking through. Current temp at 8am local time is 26C

Today the PADI IE is about to kick off later this afternoon.

Yesterday saw a nice sunny bit slightly windy day. Max temp reached 30C

The forecast still shows some wind today, tomorrow the wind should drop with sunny days ahead until next Thursday, when the wind could pick up again.

The sun is about to break through on Koh Samui and another sunny albeit windy day looms ahead. Current temp at 7am is around 25C

On Gili Air in Indonesia it's mostly cloudy this morning with a current temp at 8am local time of 26C. Around noon today we will make our way over to Bali, where tomorrow a PADI IE will start.

The forecast shows sunshine and strong wind until tomorrow, over the weekend it can be slightly more cloudy but as of Monday it should be nice and sunny.

On Gili Air in Indonesia the current January PADI IDC has been completed and now for a fourth day in a row we have a sunny start of the day. Current temp at 8am local time is 26C

Yesterday saw a nice and sunny day around Samui, with some cloud formations towards the end of the day. Max temp reached 28C

The forecast is looking good, the wind should drop come the weekend and it should be sunny for the next 7 days.
