Today's weather;
It's partially cloudy, surprisingly, this morning over the Plai Laem and East coast of Koh Samui, after some very hard rain early morning around 4am. A nice sunrise can be seen currently but there's a very strong wind blowing. The forecast for today does predict rain tough but not as much as originally was predicted. Be prepared for some showers today but all roads should remain passable. Current temp at 7am is 27C
Koh Samui, Thailand daily weather update; 18th January, 2017; Bang Rak bay yesterday morning, grey, cloudy and wet but planes still coming in and taking off all day yesterday, Samui airport was in full swing all day long
Yesterday saw a very wet morning with a constant drizzle or light rain the whole morning but the afternoon was still cloudy but mostly dry. The whole day all roads remained passable and no real flash floods occurred. There was a very loud and hard thunder storm at around 11pm though. All in all the rain that came down yesterday was not anywhere near the amount that was predicted. Max temp reached 28C
The forecast for the next seven days remained mostly unchanged. All days should have various amounts of rain during the day and night but also dry spells should be in the mix but not much sunshine is expected.

Hi, do you know what the local forecast is saying regarding the next few weeks? We are arriving to Koh Samui on 6th February (booked it especially cause it's supposed to be the driest time of year) and are very worried that the weather will stay like this :( Thanks.
No, I don't. One week ahead is all I can try to predict and that is a lot of times not even accurate.
However, please have a look at my archives, half way down the page on my Samui info and weather blog, right hand side, they go back a few years. Open a month that you’re interested in and check one of the last posts of each month, starting with ‘Goodbye to…………’ this post will tell you the weather conditions for that month.
You can also check each individual post for that month if you wish to.
Hey Camille,
thank you for your very helpful blog. We will arrive next week on the island and are very looking forward to it, no matter if it will be rainy. Hopefully we don't have to swim to our bungalow ;-)
Keep up the good work and thank you!
Stefan
