Welcome to December 2015

It's the beginning of a new month and time to say welcome to December 2015.

December typically sees rain season or monsoon weather around Koh Samui during the first half of the month and some improving weather conditions for the second half of the month.
Last year it was exactly the other way around, good during the first half of the month and wet and windy during the second half of the month and the three years before that were fairly mild.

This years seems to be a typical start of the month with rain predicted on most of the days for the first half of the month. We will need to wait a little bit to see how the rest of the month will turn out.

With the festive season coming up towards the end of the month it will also be a busy month on the island and December 5th will be His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej 88th birthday.

Until the 11th December I will be in the Philippines, in Moalboal, for a PADI IE and Specialty Instructor training, in Cebu City for transit and on Malapascua island for a Shark Guardian presentation on 9th December.
For two night I will be in Bangkok, where I plan to run a half marathon on 13th December, the International half marathon of Bangkok and hopefully the organizers will have the correct distance figured out!
That same day I will be back on Koh Samui and plan to stay with the family for the remainder of the month.

Do 'like' my Koh Samui blog Facebook page and don't forget to use my Camille's Samui hotel recommendation blog and my Camille's Thailand hotel recommendation blog for all your hotel bookings on Koh Samui and around Thailand. By doing so, you will support my blog. Thanks folks!
