The new Sermon Hall at Wat Plai Laem has been opened and it took almost 3 years to the date for it being built and completed.
A view from the outside
There was a big ceremony yesterday at the temple and for a few days there will be a small evening fair at the temple grounds. Especially around sunset a great time to visit.

The Sermon Hall will be used for the day to day temple dealings and will hopefully see and witness lots of activities.
All is set up for the ceremony
Wat Plai Laem is a great destination to visit, it has so many great statues and buildings on her premises and easily my favorite temple on the island, besides being our families home temple as it is. Not that I'm biased!

Tables with names of people who donated substantial amounts of money to build the new Sermon hall, at both sides next to the entrance
On your next visit to Koh Samui, check out the temple grounds and some other temples around the island, each temple is fascinating and worthwhile visiting, each in it's own right. Enjoy, there are plenty of temples around Samui island!
Don't forget to use my Camille's Samui hotel recommendation blog and my Camille's Thailand hotel recommendation blog for all your hotel bookings on Koh Samui and around Thailand. By doing so, you will support my blog. Thanks folks!
