Today's weather;

It's partially cloudy early this monring over Koh Samui and the sun is heating up already and traying to burn through the cloud layers. It may become cloudier during the fay. Current temp at 7am is 28C

Yesterday saw a nice and sunny start but very early in the morning clouds moved in and it remained cloudy but dry for most of the day. Max temp reached 33C

The forecast predicts cloudy skies for the next tend ays with a bit stronger wind now and an occasional tropical shower.

Today's weather;

Like most recent days, the mornings over Koh Samui start out with a hazy cloud cover and once the sun starts to heat up shortly after 7am, it burns most fo the clouds away and it turns into very blue skies and it's hot. Current temp at 8am is 31C

The newly opened Hard Rock Cafe and shop in Chaweng. First reactions I saw mentioned overpriced food that can be had cheaper and better at other places. Do you agree?

Yesterday saw a nice blue sky almost all day long, except during the early morning and it was hot. Max temp reached 35C

The forecast for the next ten days didn't change much, mostly partially clouded skies with a nice wind at times and an occasional tropical shower.

Today's weather;

It's fairly cloudy over Koh Samui this morning with a nice little bit of wind blowing to keep it cool. Current temp at 7am is 27C and I expect it to remain mostly cloudy today with possibly a tropical shower thrown in for good measure.

Yesterday was sunny and warm to hot around Koh Samui but just after 9pm we had atropical downpour for about 15 minutes and a prolonged rain shower after that. Max temp reached 34C

The forecast for the next ten days has not changed much, mostly cloudy skies with a nice and cool wind blowing with possibly some trpical showers coming our way.

Today's weather;

There's a partially cloudy sky over Koh Samui this morning and it looks like it will be a fairly sunny and hot today. Current temp at 7am is 28C

Yesterday at both Tesco Lotus outlets on the island, there were dinosaurs visiting, this was taken at the Chaweng outlet around noon, Great fun for the kids and some scared ones to boost

Yesterday saw a fairly sunny and hot day with some surprise drizzle in the late afternoon. Max temp reached 34C

The forecast for the next ten days didn't change a lot, mostly cloudier skies with a bit of wind and an occasional tropical shower but also enough sunshine to make it nice days. Rather typical June weather.

Today's weather;

It's nice and sunny over Koh Samui this monring with just a few isolated showers. Current temp at 10am is 32C

It's a late update because I participated in the 9th Cancer Care run in Nathon. organized by the Four Seasons Resort.

Upon arriving home there was a snake sitting next to our entrance door of the kitchen in the back of the house. A good reminder that we live in the tropics.

Yesterday saw a warm day around Koh Samui with a partially cloudy sky but it was leaning on being hot! Max temp reached 34C

At the finish line of the 9th Cancer Care Run in Nathon this morning, being guided in by our youngest daughter. The sixth time in six consecutive years that I participated in this run

The forecast has changed slightly, now the prediction is that it may be fairly cloudy over the next ten days with a light increase in wind and a rare tropical shower.

Holes under the heels, preparing for becoming a bare foot runner?

As a follower and reader of my blog, you may know my love for running by now. It's my hobby and I enjoy it tremendously. However, two pairs of my running shoes are about to disintegrate and short of becoming a complete 100% bare foot runner, which would be my next step and currently only avaialble ption, I hope to be bale to generate enough money from generous donations to be able to get a new pair of Vibram Five Fingers Evo.

The soles have been ripped off and can't be used anymore

Today's weather;

It's fairly cloudy this early in the morning around Koh Samui but the sun is working hard to peek through the clouds and there's a nice breeze. I don't expect any rain today but it may stay mostly clouded. Current temp at 7am is already 30C

Do join us tomorrow for the 9th Cancer Care charity run in Nathon tomorrow morning. Registering starts at 6am for the 10km, 5km races and 3km fun run and the start of all races is at 7am.

Welcome to June 2016

Welcome to June 2016

The beginning of a new month, so it's 'Welcome to June 2016'. A typical June on Koh Samui will give you enough sunshine to make your stay very enjoyable but there's a monsoon season going on as well around Southern Thailand, although it doesn't affect Koh Samui as much. However, a few tropical showers may drift along over the island during this month.

The last four years June was a bit more wet than average, so hopefully we can break that this year around and have a sunnier June again.

This month will most likely see me at home all month long and next weekend I will participate in the 9th Cancer Care run in Nathon, a charity event. Hope tos ee plenty of people there!

It's fairly cloudy this early morning over Koh Samui and the cloud cover may hang on until later afternoon. MOst likely it will stay dry. Current temp at 7am is a nice and cool 26C

The forecast predicts a little bit more overcast now for the next ten days. There will still be plenty of sunny moments and an occasional tropical shower is also possible at times.
