Today's weather;

Koh Samui's sky is mainly cloudy but the sun is trying to break through, albeit not rather successful at the moment. Current temp at 7am is 26.4C

Yesterday was mostly cloudy, besides a very lovely start to the day with blue skies, with the sun occasionally breaking through for a few moments in the afternoon and it stayed dry. Max temp reached 30C

The forecast shows mainly overcast for the next 7 days but with hardly any rain at all.

The sky over Koh Samui is partly cloudy but the sun seems to be getting the better of this. Current temp at 7am is 27C

Today's weather;

During my early morning there was a star lit sky over Koh Samui but now it's cloudy with currently no sun in sight. Current temp at 7am is 26C

Yesterday saw mostly a cloudy day with occasionally some sunshine and at 8pm a shower but it was surprisingly hot during the daytime with a max temp of 33C

The shower occurred just when we were about to leave Juzza Pizza, currently our fave Italian restaurant on the island!

The forecast predicts mainly cloudy skies over the next 7 days but with hardly any rain.

Koh Samui, Thailand daily weather update; 6th November, 2013

Today's weather;

Back home again! It's good to be with the family after more than two weeks. The sky over Koh Samui is not celebrating however and it's mostly cloudy. Current temp at 7am is 26C

Yesterday I flew in on Don Muang airport in Bangkok and it brought back plenty of memories of early trips to Thailand. Now it's hard to imagine that only 4 conveyor belts had to handle all incoming traffic

Yesterday saw a sunny day around the island and also Bangkok was sunny when I arrived during the afternoon but more cloudy towards the early evening. Max temp on Samui reached 32C

The forecast predicts a cloudy day with some rain tomorrow and cloudy with a few sun rays for the remainder of the week.

Koh Samui, Thailand daily weather update; 5th November, 2013

Today's weather;

The sky over Koh Samui shows a few more clouds this morning but it still looks liek a warm day is in the making. Current temp at 6am is 27C

Yesterday I left Gili Air in Indonesia and took a fast boat over to Bali where I find myself this morning in Sanur under a nice blue sky and a current temp at 7am local time of 28C

Around noon my flight to Bangkok will take off and very late during the evening I should find myself back on Samui.

Yesterday saw another warm and sunny day around Koh Samui with a max temp of 31C

The forecast shows more clouds moving in over the next 7 days but not too much rain is predicted at the moment.

Koh Samui, Thailand daily weather update; 4th November, 2013

Today's weather;

It looks like Koh Samui is facing another nice and sunny day. Current temp at 7am is 25.4C

The same goes for Gili Air in Indonesia, sunny skies and hardly any wind at all. Current temp at 8am local time is 28C

It's my last day here, in a few hours I will be on a ferry to Bali and tomorrow a long travel day waits which should see me back on Koh Samui around 10pm

The wedding procession went around Gili Air yesterday and two of the girls are making eyes with my camera. Yesterday I had a picture up from the courting of the bride.

Yesterday was ahot and sunny around Koh Samui with a max temp of 30C

On Gili Air it was sunny all day long although some clouds showed up around 2pm but not for long.

The forecast predicts some rain and clouds starting from Thursday, so enjoy whilst it lasts, the rainy season could be upon us soon.

It looks like Koh Samui may have some early morning cloud cover but it should clear up later during the day. Current temp at 6am is 24C

On Gili Air in Indonesia we have another beautiful sunny morning with a clear sky! Current time at 7am local time is 26C

A wedding was imminent a few days ago on Gili Air and here the bride is being visited with gifts

Yesterday saw a sunny and hot day around Koh Samui with a max temp of 32C, not your typical November weather so enjoy it whilst it lasts.

Gili Air had a typical one for this time of the year, lovely morning with sunshine and blue skies but come 2pm, clouds move in with a threat of a bit of rain.

The forecast still predicts some rain towards next weekend.

Welcome to November 2013

Usually November on Koh Samui is known for it's rainy season, but 2012, 2011 and 2009 were fairly mild.

On the other hand, 2010, 2008 and 2007 were as a rainy season can be expected, very wet!

This is going to be now the 7th recorded November on this blog and just like last year, the first 7 days look good on paper. let's see and wait what happens next weekend, it could be a lot wetter compared to the current heat!

Today's weather;

Koh Samui is waking up under some nice blue skies with here and there a cloud or two. Current temp at 6am is 25C

On Gili Air in Indonesia we have a lovely blue sky and a current temp at 7am of 26C. Looks like there will be a nice day ahead of us.

Yesterday I completed three dives around the island and for today and tomorrow we have each day another two dives scheduled. It's shark, turtle and critter galore.

The sky over Koh Samui is blue with a few clouds in it and a current temp at 7am of 26C

On Gili Air in Indonesia there's a straight blue sky and a current temp at 8am local time of 26C

Both locations are gearing up for their rainy season although on Gili Air it will be a bit later compared to Samui.

Yesterday was a warm and sunny day around Koh Samui with a max temp of 32C and on Gili Air we had a great and sunny day all day long with a great success during the PADI IE here with all candidates passing!
