Today's weather;

There's a fairly thick cloud layer hanging over Koh Samui this morning, it feels like rain is in the air. Current temp at 7am is 26.4C.

Yesterday saw a cloudy morning and early afternoon, with an occasional, very short drizzle. During the late afternoon the sun actually managed to peek out for  few short moments. Max temp reached 30.2C

The forecast predicts cloud cover for the next 7 days with some strong wind over the weekend.

Today's weather;

It's cloudy but dry this morning on Koh Samui with a current temp at 7am of 25.6C

Yesterday saw rain during the morning and once we were back on the island, around 2pm, there was a regular drizzle. On the mainland it was dry all morning. Max temp reached 31.5C

The forecast shows no wind but overcast until Friday, when the wind is supposed to pick again.

Koh Samui, Thailand daily weather update; 7th July, 2013

Today's weather;

We're in the Kaew Samui resort in Surat Thani and have just come back form this years edition of the Phun Phin Mini Marathon, the 7th edition. There's some heavy overcast and the sun just glooms in the background without really breaking through. The swallows were flying very low during the race which indicates there's rain in the air. Current temp at 7am is 24.7C

On Koh Samui it's fairly cloudy with a current temp at 7am of es rain is in the air. Current temp at 7am is 25.7C

Yesterday was a nice day when we left Samui with the noon boat to Don Sak, once we arrived and during a visit to friends there, it started to pour down. Later in the evening it fired up. Samui also had a bit of rain, but not too much. Max temp reached 33.2C

The forecast predict a couple of cloudy but dry days followed by a bit more sunny days.

Today's weather;

A light cloud layer hangs over Koh Samui this morning with the sun on the rise and the cloud may well be burned away shortly. Current temp at 7am is 26.5C

We're off to Surat Thani later today, for a 13km run in Phun Phin tomorrow morning, the first of 4 races this month in Surat Thani province. Next week a half marathon is due in Surat Thani town.

Yesterday saw a nice morning with some cloud build up around 3pm, a short shower and some strong wind. Max temp reached 32.8C

It's cloudy but there are still enough blue spots. It doesn't look like rain though for Koh Samui today. Current temp at 7am is 25.7C

Yesterday saw a dry day with lots of wind during the day and very strong wind during the ealry evening. Max temp reached 31.8C

The forecast predicts the last bits of breeze overnight and after that it should be nice and mainly sunny with possibly some hazy skies for the next 7 days.

Yesterday saw a fairly warm day with overcast towards the end of the day but it stayed dry and it was a bit windy. Max temp reached 32.7C

The forecast predicts strong wind in the afternoon into tomorrow morning and it all eases up as of tomorrow. Sunny skies should lay ahead of us for next week.

Today's weather;

A blue sky looms over Koh Samui with some clouds in it. It's looking like it's going to be another hot day again. Current temp at 7am is 26.7C

Yesterday saw a dry day wherever I was, but some parts of the island must have gotten a good wash out. During the afternoon there was another build up of clouds in our hood. Max temp reached 33.3C

The forecast predicts a very short period with a massive amount of wind come Thursday afternoon with everything smoothing out over the weekend and into early next week.

Today's weather;

There's a bit of a haze in the sky and some clouds are scattered around in Koh Samui's morning sky. Current temp at 7am is 25.7C

Yesterday saw a lovely morning but during the afternoon clouds gathered and around 5pm it started to rain very hard (much needed on the island!) for about half an hour as predicted in my welcome blog post for July yesterday, with some heavy wind going alongside. The wind held on during the evening but the rain stopped. Max temp reached 34.3C

The forecast is now predicting some very strong wind Thursday evening and rain for the next two evenings but over the weekend things calm down and it should be sunny and warm again.

Welcome to July 2013

The beginning of  a new month and a month that should see Koh Samui become busy again, after a little slump in June.

The weather in July should be fine in general. Plenty of sunshine and occasionally some strong wind and an odd chance of a tropical shower.

My month is busy as well, with three races scheduled to run, two 13km races and a half marathon, all in or near Surat Thani town. By the end of the month I also hope to start a PADI IDC on Koh Phangan.

Typically, this and next month are also busy with visiting friends and family, so bring it on!

Koh Samui, Thailand daily weather update; 1st July, 2013

Today's weather;

After we said our goodbyes to June yesterday, today is the start of new month and a nice blue sky can be seen all over Koh Samui this morning, another hot day seems to be in the making. Current temp at 7am is 27.2C

3 out of our four baby cats, now 5 weeks old since Friday

Yesterday started out very nice, blue skies all over and hot. Around 4pm I noticed dark clouds though and a very strong wind showed up fir about an hour or so. It stayed dry and the sky cleared up again. Max temp reached 35.4C

The forecast shows an increase in wind and clouds, culminating in Wednesday and Thursday night but from Friday onward it's looking sunny again.
