Koh Samui, Thailand weekly weather update; 1st January – 7th January, 2018

Koh Samui, Thailand weekly weather update; 1st January – 7th January, 2018

The first week of this new year has been done and dusted and it's time for the Koh Samui, Thailand weekly weather update; 1st January – 7th January, 2018.

It's partially cloudy over Koh Samui this early morning and the sun is already out and about. It looks like this will be a nice day around the island. Current temp at 7am is 25.8C

Currently I find myself back on Koh Lanta in the province of Krabi, where I started a PADI IDC program yesterday, the first PADI IDC of the year. It's mostly cloudy here, with occasionally some sunshine and sometimes a rain shower, but mostly during the evenings. Current temp at 7am is a nice and cool 23C.

Last week saw a very nice week and good start of the year, weather wise. It was sunny to partially cloudy all week long and there was no rain to speak of. A lovely start of the year indeed. It was a also busy week around the island, with lots of visitors and tourists visiting our island.
Maximum temperatures ranged between 30 and 31C, so very stable.

The forecast for next week is still looking fairly good, although probably not as nice as last week. There may be an occasional shower and come Friday, the wind may pick up quite a bit. Don't worry too much though, most days of the week, the sun should be out as well. Enjoy your stay on our lovely island!

Please do 'like' my Koh Samui blog Facebook page and enjoy the beaches around the island or in front of your hotel or resort and get some well deserved rest and a break. If you're done resting or need something else to do, there's plenty of things on offer on and around Koh Samui, you can go snorkeling or diving or take a dive course. You can also enjoy some of the trips I recommend, like a half day gourmet lunch and snorkeling trip at the Southern part of Koh Samui or a photography trip where you get to see the most photo genetic spots on the island or go for a drinks tasting tour if you like a tipple or two.
