2014 marks the centenary of the outbreak of World War I, a conflict in which hundreds of thousands of British and Commonwealth forces and civilians lost their lives.
The British Ex Servicemen community are this week distributing Poppy Appeal boxes around the Samui archipelago at various locations (list at the foot of this message)
Remembrancetide this year commences on Sunday 26th October until Sunday 9th November. The Poppy Appeal boxes will remain in place until the 11th November 2014.
A Remembrance Service will be held on the 9th November (Remembrance Sunday), details to be published nearer the time.
The generous support of the resident community for the Poppy Appeal each year is very much appreciated;
