A begging monkey at Big Buddha on Koh Samui. Right next to the Big Buddha statue. If you face the statue, to the left, almost behind the statue.
Last week saw a nice week around the island. Plenty of sunshine and just two days with some isolated drops of rain. Only last Sunday saw some real rain. The maximum temperature got up to 31C. On the other hand, the minimum temperature got stuck at 23C.
It was also my first visit ever to Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia. Firstly, a PADI meeting was in the cards. Secondly, I took my wife and our youngest daughter along. Thirdly, we scheduled a leisure day to explore some parts of the city.
To top it off, we had very cheap flights from Surat Thani airport and a nice suite near the city center.
In short, we enjoyed Kuala Lumpur a lot and look forward going back and explore more. Especially some of the food options!

Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia at night. A must see when in town. A very enjoyable city. Hope to be back sooner than later.
For next week plenty of blue skies and sunshine are predicted and expected. However, Tuesday may see some hard rain and Wednesday may still see a shower or two or three. Next weekend we may see some rain again.
Enjoy the island when you're here. It's quiet and enjoyable, due to the coronavirus. Don't be put off, all is fine and it's business as usual. Just a lot less people around to enjoy it!
Please do 'like' my Koh Samui blog Facebook page and enjoy the beaches around the island or in front of your hotel or resort and get some well deserved rest and a break.
If you're done resting or need something else to do, there's plenty of things on offer on and around Koh Samui, you can go snorkeling or diving or take a dive course.
Join me in a private dive trip with yours sincerely!
You may also opt for a very special dinner experience at The Thai Experience. Behind closed doors, reservation only and a very enjoyable and well worthwhile way of spending an evening on Samui. Authentic Thai food and a great atmosphere. Can highly recommend this experience.
Contact me for more detailed information on any of the options mentioned.
