Welcome to October 2019

Welcome to October 2019

It's the first of October and we say welcome to October 2019.

The month of October on Koh Samui is usually still a fairly nice month, if we talk weather. However, it is also the month before our rainy season starts. It's really a transitional month weather wise.

The last two years October was ok. Early on during the month still plenty of sunshine. Later during the month, more and more rain starts to show up. Or rather, falls down. Three years ago it seemed the rainy season had already started by the end of the month.

This month I do expect rain, it's just hard to say when. Towards the end of the month is the safest bet though.
The first week of this new month, the forecast looks good. Let's see how far we can carry this.

Welcome to October 2019

Wat Plai Laem is around the corner of our house. It's also a beautiful temple, one of the most beautiful on the island, just in my humble opinion. Many buildings and statues. Lovely statues as well! One of these statues is a massive, big, sitting man. You may want to call it a Buddha maybe. This statue is surrounded by four smaller statues, depicting Indian style deities. This is one of these four statues. Ganesh! This deity  is widely revered as the remover of obstacles, the patron of arts and sciences and the deva of intellect and wisdom.

There are not that many events on the island that I am aware of this month. So come and enjoy a much more quiet and tranquil Koh Samui and it's archipelago. Go out and about and maybe one of the activities on offer here suits you.

Please do 'like' my Koh Samui blog Facebook page and enjoy the beaches around the island or in front of your hotel or resort and get some well deserved rest and a break.

If you're done resting or need something else to do, there's plenty of things on offer on and around Koh Samui, you can go snorkeling or diving or take a dive course.

Join me in a private dive trip with yours sincerely!

You can also enjoy some of the trips I recommend, like a half day gourmet lunch and snorkeling trip at the Southern part of Koh Samui or a photography trip where you get to see the most photo genetic spots on the island or go for a drinks tasting tour if you like a tipple or two.

You may also opt for a very special dinner experience at The Thai Experience. Behind closed doors, reservation only and a very enjoyable and well worthwhile way of spending an evening on Samui. Authentic Thai food and a great atmosphere. Can highly recommend this experience.

Contact me for more detailed information on any of the options mentioned.
